1440 Multiversity

I spent the next 4 years building the 1440 Marketing Team and 1440’s revenue.

By the time I left, we were a $22 million company with 200 weekend and weeklong courses annually.

How did we do it?

It was 2016 when I started chanting with the hippies in the redwoods outside of Santa Cruz, CA.

Over the course of my career up until that point, I had been an Air Force officer maintaining F-15E fighter jets, a mom on an island in the East China Sea, and a Director for CrossFit, Inc., managing their global affiliate and social media programs during their most dynamic period of growth (2008-2014).

But these hippies in Santa Cruz had a great concept and they needed marketing. And I knew how to make a brand explode.

So, after being the 13th employee of CrossFit, I became the 7th employee of 1440 Multiversity, a learning center focused on mindfulness, creative arts, and finding your groove again.

It was just what I needed – and I was who they needed.

Beginning as the Digital Marketing Manager with one teammate, I spent the next 4 years building the 1440 Marketing Team and 1440’s revenue. When I left in 2020, I was the Director of Digital Marketing Strategy and we were a $22 million company with 200 weekend and weeklong courses annually. The Marketing Team had grown to nine people. Our billionaire owner had achieved his dream: to create a thriving meditation center close to Silicon Valley so he could show techies that there was more to life than blue-lit screens.

And me? I wanted new challenges. So I joined a natural supplements company called Biocidin Botanicals, built their marketing team, and — over the next five years — more than doubled their revenue to $23 million per year using my trusted system of great content, smart strategy, and irrepressible fun. But that’s another story. Read it here.
